NFPA Good Source for Fluid Power Market Trend Data
The latest data published by the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) shows industry shipments of fluid power products for April 2014 increased 3.4% compared to April 2013, and decreased 1.6% compared to last month.
Industrial hydraulic and pneumatic shipments increased and mobile hydraulic shipments decreased in April 2014 when compared to April 2013. Mobile hydraulic and industrial hydraulic shipments decreased and pneumatic shipments increased when compared to last month.
Each point on this graph represents the most recent 12 months of orders compared to the previous 12 months of orders. Each point can be read as a percentage. For example, 97.7 (the March 2014 level of the industrial hydraulic series) indicates that industrial hydraulic orders received from April 2013 to March 2014 were 97.7% of the orders received from April 2012 to March 2013. (Base Year 2013 = 100)
